Joelle Fuchs
Joelle Fuchs is a fourth year doctoral student currently pursuing her degree in Clinical Psychology at the University of Maryland, College Park. She holds a Master of Science in Psychology from the University of Maryland, College Park, and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from North Carolina State University, with a focus on Social and Biological Determinants of Mental Health.
Joelle’s clinical and research practice aim to address adolescent internalizing disorders. Her research explores the role that community connectedness and neighborhood social cohesion play on adolescent wellbeing as they transition into adulthood. She endeavors to strengthen the therapeutic capacity of community spaces (libraries, parks, and schools) to promote individual and community healing.
