Jacqueline Baron, LICSW

Jacqueline Baron is a mental health clinician and consultant with the MedStar Georgetown Center for Wellbeing in School Environments. Her focus is on teacher wellbeing and trauma-informed teaching practices. Jacqueline is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania, and her Master of Social Work with an emphasis in Family Systems and Violence Prevention from the University of Chicago. Jacqueline's teaching career began in San Antonio, Texas as a middle school English Language Arts Teacher. Since then, she has taught for a total of 5 years, and been both a middle school and high school social worker in DC. Her most recent role as Director of Mental Health at Digital Pioneers Academy has allowed her the opportunity to create initiatives to increase both scholar and staff wellbeing. With WISE, Jacqueline looks forward to continuing the important work of supporting schools holistically through micro interactions and macro system-level work.
