Elizabeth Demeusy, PhD

Elizabeth Demeusy, PhD, is the Assistant Director of Research and Program Evaluation and a Licensed Clinical Psychologist at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital where she is actively involved in both research and clinical activities. Broadly, her research focuses on the impact of trauma and adversity on the developmental trajectory, as well as the design, evaluation, and dissemination of interventions to prevent long-term psychological maladjustment & foster wellbeing. Dr. Demeusy has extensive experience providing evidence-based interventions to children, families, and educators in school-based and outpatient settings. Overall, she is passionate about increasing accessibility to evidence-based mental health services & supporting the wellbeing of individuals, families, and systems.  

Dr. Demeusy earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Rochester. She completed her doctoral internship training through the Child and Family Track at Denver Health Medical Center. She completed her postdoctoral training through the Department of Psychiatry at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital.
